Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, absolutely. They are extraordinarily resilient and can withstand most British winters just fine. If you experience prolonged low temperatures and high winds, however, we would recommend investing in a horticultural fleece to protect the tree.
The ideal time to prune is typically late spring, once there’s no more chance of a frost.
They can thrive in both acidic and alkaline soil - the main consideration is drainage. Without adequate drainage, the roots of the tree can eventually begin to rot away. For further details on compost, please visit our care advice page.
On the whole, they are relatively easy to manage. They are remarkably resilient and hardy - even down to temperatures of -15°C. Although, in sub-zero temperatures we would recommend the use of a horticultural fleece. Provided your soil has adequate drainage and isn’t overwatered, your tree should be quite happy.
We source all of our trees from nurseries in mainland Spain. They each have the correct passports and have received independent Xylella checks.
Yes, we can deliver any of the trees you see above. Smaller trees will be delivered via a pallet service, while delivery for larger trees can be arranged using the likes of HIAB lorries, trailers and tail lift vehicles.
Yes, it is possible to keep them indoors but its lifespan and growth will be limited.
That depends on its age, the time of year and where it’s planted; potted trees will require more regular watering than those planted in the ground. Take a look at our advice page for more information.
